This Program is very simple. No contract or red tape.

Qualified Hybrid/EV Tech = Qualified Tech  Has taken our UYV class within the last 6 years and passed the ACDC test within the last 4 years.(If you are located outside of North America we may allow a different path). Own the latest ACDC books No ASE required but encouraged.

Advanced ACDC Tech = Advanced Hybrid Auto Tech … ASE Certified Tech in A1, A2, A6, A8, L1 and have taken 40 hours of live ACDC classes plus everything above for a Qualified Tech.

Master ACDC Tech = Master Hybrid Auto Tech … ASE Certified Master with L1, L3 and have taken our “Up Your Voltage!” plus everything above.

Note: In order to be in the QSP Program the training can be no older than 6 years. 

1. You are / have an ACDC Tech currently in our program.

2. Only an ACDC Tech will service, diagnose or repair the xEV vehicles left for service. Exceptions are repairs and service that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact the vehicle is a hybrid. Note: An oil change is a  service but it can be a supervise service by a xEV Tech.

3. The tech must pass a 40 Question ACDC test with 80% or higher. Every 4 years the tech must pass 10 question re-up test.  Testing is done on-line.

4. Own (or the shop you work at) a pair of 1000 volt, Class O, rubber protective gloves in good condition and valid within 6 months of the last glove HV Test.

5. Own a CAT III 1000 volt  DVOM, with CAT III leads and ends.

6. Must own a milliohm meter, insulation tester, and 4 channel scope.

7. You own or have access to a factory scanner with updated software for the xEV vehicles you work on or a good aftermarket scanner that works well with the xEV you are on.

8. You have internet access at your shop and subscribe to the OEM web sites for the xEV you work on (It is OK to subscribe as needed) (USA only) .

9. Your service writers have been trained by you or ACDC and will consult their ACDC Tech as needed when hybrids are left for service.

10. You have a way of handling customers complaints that satisfies the state and city laws

Note: ACDC’s Tech qualification expires every two years.

1. If you are a premium ACDC customer, you are entitled to a discount and on-going training. As newer xEV models come out, you are allowed up to 10 recorded webinars off our list (click here) per year and -20% off any live webinars. In most cases the $1 per day you are paying is refunded in technician and management training.

2. Send 2 Qualification Color Certificates

3. ACDC started as a shop management training company in the 90’s, we still provide help in that area.

4. Provide tech support (as time allows). We require you to have a subscription to an information system.

5.Use of the ACDC logo. ACDC Uniform Patches ($9.00).

* Space permitting: If the live class is sold out (99 seat limit) you will get a free link for the recording.

6. If you are a ACDC on-demand customer, it is limited to telephone tech support.

Exclusions are; xEVs with salvage titles, xEVs that have been to more than 3 shops, no one knows what’s going on anymore, xEVs that we have not studied and know little about (Fisker, Karma, Lucid, Rivian, Fiat, xEV models that sell less than 50,000 vehicles per year in the US, and some California compliance EVs, maybe more)

In order to provide tech support for Teslas:

1. You have completed the ACDC 3-Day Tesla class

2. You must own the Tesla Equipment similar to what is sold in the ACDC Tesla Repair Kit (TES10K)

3. Fees are the same as the ACDC On-Demand Program (pay as you go)

1. Cost for the premium ACDC program is $730 for two years. $50 for each additional tech at the same shop. Additional sites are $150 per site. (Note additional fees above). Ask for our latest pricing sheet. Your QSP technician must be re-tested when you reup every two years.

2. The ACDC on-demand program (pay as you go) is a $25 fee per tech support call up to 15-minutes. Additional calls are billed at $1 per minute.

3. You can cancel at any time and get a refund for any remaining program fees.

4. No long term contracts to sign.
