Introduction to Heavy-Duty EV Trucks for Technicians
This $600 8-hour class is designed to make sure you are safe when working in or around any Medium to Heavy Duty Truck (Bus, Farm, Off Road) that has a high voltage system. In practical terms, that is 400 to 800 volts. At the end of class, you will take the ASE xEV Electrical Safety Awareness Certification Test online.
The ACDC Electrical Safety HD Certification is included at the end of class. This is designed for anyone that works on Class 4 to 8 trucks. You may encounter an EV in the workplace and ACDC wants to ensure high-voltage you have electrical safety awareness to identify hazards and reduce risks. This class focuses on equipping individuals with the knowledge to recognize and mitigate risks associated with working around or with any electric vehicles (xEV) and their high-voltage components. We will explain the driveline, HV packs, and all the components that are high voltage, their construction and function.
You have a working knowledge of the HEV-EV trucks from the early HEVs from 2010 to todays pure EVs. We include Fuel Cell designs. Bring your own HV safety gloves, if you have them. Live demonstrations with HV will take place during class.
An ACDC has produced in-house a 90-page full color workbook that is provided, with handouts, lunch, drinks and a certificate.
